The Marcus King Band Confirms Two Nashville Shows: Nov 18 At The Basement East (Dead & Co. After-party) & Nov 28 In-Store At Grimey's

Guitar phenom and songwriter Marcus King will bring his namesake band to Nashville this November for two shows celebrating the release of their debut album, Soul Insight, via Warren Haynes' Evil Teen Records. Following recent praise from Guitar World, Relix and others, the band will play November 18 at The Basement East—both a full band set and as part of a super jam tribute to Derek & The Dominos with fellow guitar-whiz Daniel Donato—as well as a November 28 in-store at Grimey's.  See below for full show details.

Featuring riff-driven rockers and big burnished tones—as well as a distinctive acoustic side—Soul Insight reveals King's talents as performer, arranger and producer. With King's singing slide resonator guitar and voice building to explosive crescendos, the album echoes the influence of his own guitar heroes including Haynes, his Allman Brothers Band foil Derek Trucks and Jimi Hendrix as well as soul influences Marvin Gaye, Ray Lamontagne, Gary Clark Jr. and others. Proof of the 19-year-old's virtuosity and vision are on full display within Soul Insight's fiery mix of rock, soul, blues, funk, improvisation and psychedelia.
